Cornwall’s Ferguson and Schut playing in Curling Canada U18 Mixed Doubles Test event starting Friday

The Cornwall Curling Club duo of Lauren Ferguson and Mitchell Schut will be taking part in Curling Canada’s Under 18 Mixed Doubles test event, starting on Friday at Willie O’Ree place in Fredericton NB, with eight Maritime teams taking part. A similar U25 test event took place last weekend, with the team of PEI’s Aleya Quilty, paired with New Brunswick’s Alex Robichaud and coach Pat Quilty winning the event.

Ferguson, skip of this year’s PEI Junior and U18 championship rinks as well as PEI’s Canada Games girl’s team, is a former PEI Mixed Doubles champ, while Schut skipped this year’s PEI’s Canada Games and U18 champion boy’s teams. David Murphy will coach the Mixed Doubles team.
