As part of our Return to Play plan, we invite you to Bring Your Own Ice Water!

Returning members will be aware of a couple of initiatives launched last year. One was A Club initiative to cut down on single-use plastics by encouraging curlers to bring their own reusable water bottles.

Carolyn Crockett and Elaine Hughes with their reusable water bottles last season.

The other was a ban on single-use bottled water sales in Town of Cornwall-owned facilities, like the Civic Centre which houses our curling club.

Both of these initiatives were helped out by the Club providing free ice water in a jug accessible to everyone. With COVID-19 concerns, we will have to make some changes to that practice.

Instead, we invite you to Bring Your Own Ice Water from home in your own reusable container.
You are also welcome to fill your container from our kitchen tap (sanitize the tap handle with a wipe after), while ice can be obtained in a small cup from the bar. We will also be happy to provide a cup of ice water if you happen to forget your reusable container. If you do this, you should put your name on the cup with a marker to ensure nobody else drinks from it by mistake.

Small adjustments like this will help keep the Cornwall Curling Club a safe place in which to play your favourite sport!
