Due to continued dangerous road conditions affected by blowing snow, the Cornwall Curling Club will be closed this afternoon and there will be no Afternoon Stick Curling Drop-In or Junior Practice times.
The recommendations from our Emergency Responders, RCMP, and weather experts are to “avoid unnecessary travel”.
This decision to cancel afternoon curling made jointly by our Club Manager, Ice Technician, and Chair of ‘Memberships and Draws’.
‘Junior Practice Curlers’ affected by today’s cancellation can contact the club to arrange extra ice time.
We will make an announcement relating to our Monday Evening curling by 5 pm today.
Thank you and Stay Safe.
Here is a look at snowfall totals and peak wind gusts for #PEI as of 8 a.m. this morning. Even as the heavier snow tapers off, driving conditions will still be affected due to blowing/drifting, so please avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve. Stay safe folks! pic.twitter.com/buoPy71h8T
