Consider giving your business a little exposure and publicity and having fun doing it, at a very reasonable cost. The  Cornwall Curling Club is initiating a Commercial Curling League starting in Oct. 2010. This is purely a recreational league and is not meant for those who aspire to be in the Briar or the Scotties. It is open to beginners and recreational curlers of all ages and both sexes. Teams can be all ladies, all men or a mixed team plus the teams do not have to be the same four people every night.
You will be able to sponsor a team for $600.00 per year and the team can be made up of persons you choose ( employees, owners, clients, friends, etc. ) to represent your business. Games will be announced in the newspaper featuring the name of your business. Your business name will also be displayed in a distinct location on the Curling Draw Board and be featured on our website (www.cornwallcurling.com ). The cost will include a free curling school at the beginning of the year for those who have never curled or for those who wish to refresh their skills. Jackets or sweaters and curling gear such as brooms and shoes are not covered in the above cost. In comparison to other sports, curling equipment is relatively cheap and lasts for several years. The curling club also offers nightly rentals on sliders and brooms at a minimal fee.
Curling is becoming a popular sport and most people who participate in it enjoy the game and consider the evening a great social occasion. It is an opportunity for you to expose your business to the curling crowd and to create a healthy and fun environment at your work place, all at a very modest cost.
Monday nights at 8:30pm is the time this Commercial League has been allotted and 8 teams can be accommodated on a first come first served basis.
