Cornwall Club Championship for The Dominion – Opening Draws

This weekend, 8 men’s and 5 women’s teams will compete for the Cornwall Curling Club Championship.

9:30 Friday (women’s)
Ice 3    R. Rolfe  vs  L. Davies
Ice 4    D. Rhodenhizer  vs  K. Currie

Men’s teams will be divided into 2 divisions (by random draw), and each division of 4 teams will play a round robin schedule.
The top two teams in each division will play in semi-finals. The semi-final winners will play in the final.

Men’s participants include:

6. Kris Currie, Mitch Ellis, Mark Perry, Len Gotell
7. Ray Biagé, Kimball Blanchard, Paul Durant, Dick MacDonald
8. Angus Kennedy, Mike LaFontaine, Matthew Hanus, Joe Callaghan

Women’s teams will play a full round robin. The second and third place teams from the round robin will play in the semifinal with the winner of this game playing the first place finisher in the final.

Women’s participants include:

2. Lorianne Davies, Melody Beck, Tracy MacDonald, Lynda Turnbull
3. Karen Currie, Helen Smith, Gloria Clarke, Elaine Hughes
4. Debbie Rhodenhizer, Kelly Watts, Cathy Handren, Krista Affleck
5. Valerie Acorn, Heather Pierce, Helen Verhulp, Meaghan Wilkie

The winning men’s and women’s teams will advance to the PEI Dominion Curling Club Championship, March 17-20 at the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton.
The PEI winner will advance to the national The Dominion Curling Club championship in Richmond BC in November.
