The Cornwall Curling Club is hosting the Provincial Under 18 Curling Championships from Friday Feb. 19 to Monday Feb. 22.
Because of this, we need to cancel the following members curling draws:
Friday Feb. 19
Daytime Drop-In Curling (10am to noon)
Stick Curling (12:30 to 2:30 pm)
Junior Team Practice (3:30 to 6 pm)
Sunday, Feb. 21
Members Practice (1:30 to 3:30 pm)
Junior Instruction (3:30 to 5:30 pm)
Monday, Feb. 22 (not Monday the 15th when it’s curling as usual!)
Drop-In Curling (10 am to noon)
Stick Curling (12:30 to 2:30 pm)
Junior Team Practice (3:30 to 6 pm)
Since you won’t be curling, come down to the Club and watch some great junior curling action, or help out with the game timing!
Please note that, depending on the results of the U18, there is a chance that some, or even all of the cancelled curling for Monday the 22nd could go ahead. Please check with the club or website.
Examples:
If one team wins all three of the modified triple knockout U18 men’s sections, AND one team wins all three of the modified triple knockout U18 women’s sections, the event would end on Sunday, and there would be regular curling on Monday.
If one team wins any two of the modified triple knockout U18 men’s sections, AND the first Monday game (at 11 am), and one team wins any two of the modified triple knockout U18 women’s sections, and the first Monday game, the 3 pm Monday draw would not be needed, and junior team practice could go ahead.
