Great job by Club volunteers and staff yesterday at the Road Builders dinner!

The Cornwall Curling Club did a fantastic job yesterday putting on the lobster/steak dinner for the PEI Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association. Preparations ran ahead of schedule, helped out by a beautiful day, which meant we could get into the upstairs hall an hour early, as the daycare kids who normally use it went outside. By all reports, everyone was extremely pleased with the meal, and it sure looked like everyone from the Association had a great time.

“We appreciate all the work that everyone working at the Cornwall Curling Club did to ensure our Annual Lobster (or Steak) Dinner was a success.  We were very pleased.  Thank you very much.”

-Stella Keliher, PEI Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association

Thanks to Joe MacKinnon for organizing the dinner, which will generate some additional revenue for our Club, and all the volunteers, including some, including Ray, Carlene, Helen, Dick, Bryan, who were here most of the day, the lobster cutters, the food prep crew,  the setup crew, the barbecue crew, the food platers and servers, the cleanup crew, to Bev for handling many details, and Bev and Al for keeping up with the bar service.

A special thanks to Joe Murphy, Stella Keliher and everyone else at the PEI Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association for choosing us to cater their event!

Here’s a picture from the speeches after the meal.
