The Provincial Masters Curling Championship, which wrapped up this afternoon at the Club, was a big success, thanks to our staff and many volunteers!
Thanks to the Board of Directors and staff at the Cornwall Curling Club including manager Bev, bartenders Al, Kelly, Debby, to Lance and the ice crew, and Ray, who kept the place looking sparkling!
Thanks also our kitchen volunteers for the great soup and sandwiches, our 50X50 sellers, along with everyone who bought tickets (we raised over $400 with 50X50, exceeding our expectations), to the Curlcast scorers – Amanda Bulger, Bob MacWilliams, Bev McCormick, and Kimball Blanchard, to Amy Duncan and Curl PEI, to the officials – Kevin Smith and Kay Atkinson, to the daytime curlers and Sunday juniors who gave up their ice, and the Monday junior curlers who waited until the final game was over, to Edgar Coffin who helped recruit the 50X50 sellers, and to anyone I forgot to mention.
Kitchen workers/servers included: Pat McCardle, Jean Anderson, Hélène LaPalme, Paul Field, Bernie Field, Carlene Peters, Gloria Clarke, Bev McCormick, Karen Currie, Carol Sweetapple, Danielle Girard, and Myrna Sanderson.
Congrats also to our nine 50X50 winners: Joe Gillis, Andrew Gallant, Shirley Berry, Derek MacEwen, Edith Giggey, Carlene Peters, Sandy Hope, Jean Doherty, and Bill Hope, along with everyone else who helped out by buying tickets.
