The latest info on our 2014-2015 season

Here is updated information on our 2014-2015 season, following our Board of Directors meeting Wednesday evening. Our manager starts work for the season on the 29th of Sept., but we will be happy to answer any emailed questions prior to that date.

CURLING begins on October 14^th for daytime curlers, and evening league play starts on October 19^th. Junior program begins on October 26^th (to be confirmed by the Junior Coordinator).

RETURNING MEMBERS REGISTRATION

Registration for returning members (including juniors) will be held on October 8th at the Club starting at 6:30. This is your chance for members to secure ther individual or team placement in our various leagues. Priority will be given to team entries with at least 3 returning members. New members /teams will be able to fill any unclaimed spots.

NEW MEMBERS REGISTRATION, FREE CURLING SCHOOL

New member and general registration, for both adults and juniors, as well as our free, no-obligation adult curling school / curling demonstrations will be held on October 14th, 15th, and 16th at the club starting at 6:30. Come any or all nights – there will be beginning and continuing sessions each night. Note that junior curlers receive training as part of their regular program.

RECRUITING OF NEW MEMBERS

If you know of someone that would like to try curling, invite them to our free adult curling school /demonstration on the evenings of October 14^th, 15^th and 16^th.

With each new adult curler registered on an returning member’s recommendation, the returning member will save 10% on their membership dues. Keeping our membership numbers up allows us to keep our rates reasonable.

VOLUNTEERS

The Club organizes events and spiels for the enjoyment of the membership. These spiels are organized completely by volunteers.

The more volunteer participation we have, the greater the scope of events we can plan and organize for all, and the more fun for all. Please contact a Board member if you think you can help in any way. As well, we will post volunteer signup sheets in advance of some of the big events.
