On Monday, January 18th, 2010, Paul suffered a significant cardiac event at the Cornwall Curling Club. He will be released from hospital on April 9th, 2010 and will require ongoing occupational therapy. There have been renovations required to accommodate Paul at home and he will need to travel off Island for further tests.
