Club closed until Thursday (but responding to emails). Open for practice starting Thursday. League play on hold until Circuit Breaker ends

With the PEI Government announcement on Sunday afternoon of a change to Alert Level Red (Restricted) with Modifications, organized sport and recreation activities on PEI, including curling, are not permitted beginning at 12:01 am, Monday, 1 March 2021, for 72 hours, until 12:01 am Thursday, 4 March 2021. As well, non-essential businesses are not permitted to open during this period.

Because of these two measures, the Cornwall Curling Club is closed until 9 am on Thursday. We are, however, responding to emails, so, if you have any questions, feel free to email the Manager at cornwallcurling@eastlink.ca and we’ll get back to you.

These measures are a time-limited intervention in order to get control of the situation at hand and break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. The previously-announced Circuit Breaker, which permits team and individual practices, but not games or tournaments, will resume at that point (see previous post outlining our practice times starting Thursday). Regular league play will not (cannot) return until the Circuit Breaker ends.
