At the request of some of the teams entered into the Club playdowns for The Dominion Curling Club Championship, the Board of Directors considered what rule would apply at Cornwall for using a replacement player. After much deliberation, the Board voted to follow the rules implemented for the national Dominion. If teams have someone from their regular team who is unable to play, they may bring in only one replacement, who must play in the lead position.

5. Once a four person team has been declared a club champion, a maximum of 1 replacement/substitute player from the club can play lead. It is at the discretion of each curling club to determine their replacement/substitute rules throughout their process to declare their club champions.
