Cornwall sweeps the U18 awards!

Following this afternoon Boy’s final and the presentation of the trophies and prizes to the winning and finalist teams at the Provincial Under 18 Curling Championships, sponsored by PEI Credit Unions, the awards for Coaching, as voted on by the coaches in the event, and for Sportsmanship, as voted on by the curlers, were handed out.

Besides having the winning and finalist  Boy’s teams and the winning (the Ferguson team are from Cornwall, Crapaud, and Charlottetown) and finalist Girl’s teams as club members, Cornwall members we were also the recipients of the Coaching and both Sportsmanship awards!

Edgar Coffin, coach of the Emily Sanderson team from Cornwall,  finalists in the Girl’s division, was presented with the Coaching award.

The Girl’s Sportsmanship award went to Meghan Sherren, second on the Sydney Howatt rink from Cornwall.

The Boy’s Sportsmanship award was presented to Nick Johnston, third on the winning Boy’s Mitchell Schut team.
