Cornwall’s very successful Junior Curling Program starts Oct. 26 2014

The Cornwall Curling Club has a very successful Junior program, and is the home of last season’s provincial Junior (Under 21) women’s, Under 16 Men’s, and Junior Mixed championship teams, and Cornwall’s Chloé McCloskey and coach Bill Hope won a silver medal in the Canadian Juniors Mixed Doubles event.

We are pleased to announce that Brenda MacMillan will once again be coordinating our junior curling program, with programs for Little Rocks, beginning at age 7, through to Juniors (under 21).

The beginning curling program is divided into two sessions, before and after the Christmas break, and you can sign up for one or both. The program includes beginner instruction on Sundays, from 3 to 3:45 pm. Those with more experience, in the Novice category, will go Sunday from 4-5:30 pm along with Thursday after school, with after-school team curling opportunities on weekdays. Junior curling starts on Oct. 26, and wraps up just before March Break. Contact the Club for more info on our junior programs.

Registration nights are the same as adult curling nights, Oct. 8 for returning members and Oct. 14-16 for new members, all beginning at 6:30 pm.

Junior rates are as follows:

Little Rockers – $50 for one session (Oct-Dec or Jan-Mar), $85 for both sessions
Novice (8-12) and Juniors (13-20) – $125
Junior Membership + one evening draw – $230

HST and a $15 Canadian Curling Association/Curl PEI fee will be added to these membership rates.

Junior “walk on” rates are just $5/draw (HST incl.)
