It’s very important to replace your curling shoe gripper annually, as, when they get old, they start to break down and shed little rubber pieces onto the ice, which can make the ice challenging and pose a safety hazard, too. Also, the rubber gets stretched, and the gripper may fall off when you need it most. And, of course, when the rubber wears down, your gripper doesn’t grip as well!
