A note to all Little Rockers and Novice families:
We are very excited to announce that this Sunday, December 12th our Junior Curling Coordinator Sarah, along with our Little Rockers and Novice Instructional Team, will lead a Curling Canada “Hit Draw Tap” event exclusively for our Little Rocker and Novice Curlers!!
Hit Draw Tap (or “HDT” ) is a youth skills competition where kids age 6-13 compete as individuals. HDT will group kids into three different age categories, and perform three different shots – a “Hit,” a “Draw” and a “Tap.” The difficulty of the skills is modified based on the age of the child.
Parents, please note:
- Curlers are to be on-site by 12:45 pm.
- Please note that curlers should sit at the table number of the sheet they curl on each week.
- In order for the instructors to be able to evaluate the curlers, they will proceed to the ice in two different groups at different times (instructors will let the curlers know the group numbers).
Group ‘A’ will be called onto the ice, while group ‘B’ has hot chocolate inside the clubhouse.
At about halfway through….
Group ‘B’ will be called to the ice while group ‘A’ has hot chocolate inside.
