Our state-of-the-art ice plant, and Jet Ice water treatment system has been started for the season and the base coats of curling ice are currently being installed, with everything on schedule for daytime curling to start the morning of Oct. 15. Don’t forget that our annual free “Try Curling” adult “learn to curl” sessions, open house, and new members registration runs Oct. 15, 16, and 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, with evening curling getting underway on the 20th. Returning membership registration goes Oct. 9th, from 6:30-8:30 pm. Team-entry and single-entry member curling runs Sunday through Thursday evenings, along with a Commercial League on Monday evening.
Work has been completed on changes to the ice temperature alarm system, after some problems were encountered last season, and head icemaker Lance Lowther is confident that the technology will do its job this season! Our ice plant
