Team MacDonald took 4 in the 1st end and raced out to a 7-1 lead after 4 ends. Team Arsenault clawed their way back in the second half, stealing 2 in the 7th to close within 1, but came up short in the 8th.
Team Kennedy 9
Team Gallant 6
Team Kennedy stole a big 4 in the 1st end and held a 7-4 lead after 4 ends. Team Gallant couldn’t get anything going and were run out of rocks in the 8th, losing 9-6.
Draw 2 on Saturday at 10 am features MacDonald vs Kennedy and Arsenault vs Gallant.
Draw 3 on Saturday at 2 pm wraps up the round robin with MacDonald vs Gallant and Arsenault vs Kennedy.
Playoff games, if required, will be played on Saturday evening at 6:00 pm and Sunday morning at 9:00 am.

Team Kennedy: Skip Angus Kennedy, Mate Angus Davies, Second Hans Wicki, Lead Chris MacDougall.
Team Nicholson, consisting of Skip Kim Nicholson, Mate Jean Sinclair, Second Darlene Howlett and Lead Dena Farrell will advance to the Provincials on the Women’s side.
Team Nicholson and the winning men’s team advance to the Provincial Curling Club Championships, which will take place February 22-26 at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary.
