We are all SMILES here today at the Cornwall Curling Club as we welcomed back curlers under our new POD system !!
Under our new POD format we have grouped
our curlers into 4 teams of only 16 curlers and they will play some scrimmages against each other….and only each other.
A big thank you to Curl PEI and Sport PEI for your support in helping us to plan a way that we could ‘Return to Play’ in the safest way possible! Our continued gratitude to our friends at CPHO for the tireless work and hours you have put in in trying to find the balance between our collective community safety, and consideration of our community spirit!
Thank you to all the Draw Masters and to our Program Coordinators who have been scrambling at the 11th hour to get us into PODS so we can curl, and to our ‘Return to Play’ Chair and Committee!
We continued to abide by all of our ‘Return to Play’ safety and health protocols/procedures that were enacted last season… while getting some exercise and and some much needed mental health/self care social time.
We were so super excited to see curlers today… who were all who so happpy to see each other…. to get back to curling! To those who are waiting to return … you are missed , however we are right here and when you are ready, your rocks will be ready!
