PEI’s Special Olympics curling team, who recently won gold medals at the Special Olympics Winter Games in St. Albert Alberta, were honoured with a celebration Sunday evening during their regular curling draw at the Cornwall Curling Club. The rink, who are also members of the Charlottetown Curling Club, and beat Nova Scotia on a measure by a 6-5 score in the gold medal game, is skipped by Greg St. John, and includes Phillip Chugg, John Anthony Laybolt, Monique Gauthier, and Chris MacPherson. They went through round robin play with a perfect 3-0 record. Team coaches are Dick St. John and Ann Doucette.
