Thanks to Debbie R. and everyone who helped with our “Honour Wall” plaque project!

If you’ve visited the Cornwall Curling Club, you will undoubtedly have noticed the “Honour Wall”, located on the left side of the staircase as you enter, of our many provincial through to world champions. This replaced the large vinyl banners hanging in the ice house, which long-time members will remember. While impressive, they affected the air-flow, gathered dust, were high up and therefore hard to hang, and we were out of room for them. We installed the first of the new plaques a few years ago, and listed some of our champs, but more names needed to be on it. This turned out to be a huge project, and, after partial attempts by several others, Debbie Rhodenhizer was able to complete it, in her role as Facilities Chair last season!

Thanks also go to Club Member John McKay in the production of the plaques, and to many others who helped provide and verify the information.

Many club members have shared lovely and positive comments about the plaques, with one person noting how proud they are to see their grandchildren’s names on the plaques1

A big thank you to Debbie, John and everyone else who helped, for the hours they have spent on this project to acknowledge our top competitive teams throughout the years!
