The action started yesterday at 29 Cornwall Rd. as the ‘2nd Annual O’Connor Glass Cornwall Classic’ (Canada Games Age) kicked off!! There has been some impressive shot-making and some awesome games so far!!
This event welcomes some of the top Under 16 curlers from across the Maritimes and has already become a favourite event for these talented young curlers!
A very BIG and very genuine thank you to David and Margaret O’Connor and their team at O’Connor Glass Ltd for their very generous support of this event! David and Margaret are incredible and kind community members and have been long-time supporters of Junior curling at our club. Thank you so much David and Margaret for supporting this sport and helping so many young curlers feel special as they experience this stellar sport!
The Committee Chairs for the ‘O’Connor Glass Cornwall Classic’, Robbie and Jennifer Lenentine, worked hard (and with many moving parts) to greet participants and their families to our Club yesterday. They lead a wonderful group of volunteers to ensure all guests provided proof of double vaccinations and ID, and that they felt welcomed!
There has been some great curling and some heartwarming sportsmanship at this event!
