Round two ended up with the addition of one more team, skipped by Aaron Campbell, that was added to the A pool to make 8 teams, while the B pool had six. Next round we will reverse the number in each pool, so four teams will descend the ladder to the B pool, and 2 will climb to the A..
Paul Neima again won the A pool, with five straight wins. Down in the cellar were the Angus Kennedy and Joerg Soltermann rinks with one win each, followed by Bob Fowler and Aaron Campbell with two wins each Campbell played one less game than the others, but his only wins were against Kennedy and Soltermann. Teams with 3 wins were Karen Currie, who beat Campbell, Greg Groves, who beat Currie,and Kris Currie who beat Groves, so we”ll gve the honour of moving down the ladder to the Campbell team.
In the B pool, Bob MacWilliams peeled off five straight wins, to win the prize for the round, plus a trip back up to the A pool. Gord Peters and Ray Biage were next with three wins, but Peters beat Biage in their round robin encounter, and will move up to the A pool.
So, it’s Kennedy, Joerg Soltermann, Bob Fowler, and Aaron Campbell down, and MacWilliams and Peters up for round three.
Pools will alternate early and late starts, with Pool B curling at 6:30 the first week (they curled at 8:30 last week)
