It’s almost time to curl!
Curling begins on October 11th for daytime curlers, and evening league play starts on October 17th. The Junior Program begins on October 23rd.
New For 2016-2017
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Thursday Mixed Draw will start at 6:30 and be followed by Mixed Doubles at 8:30 if we can get enough response. In getting the 2016-2017 season under way we have a few important bits of information to pass on to you, along with a few requests:
REGISTRATION / CURLING SCHOOL
Registration for returning members (including juniors) will be held on October 5th at the Club starting at 6:30pm – 8:30pm. This is your chance to secure your individual or team placement in our various leagues. Priority will be given to team entries with at least 3 returning members. New members /teams will be able to fill any unclaimed spots.
On registration day we will have sign-up sheets available for you to let us know events for which you may be able to volunteer your help.
New member and general registration, as well as our FREE, no-obligation adult curling school / curling demonstrations will be held on October 11th, 12th, and 13th at the club starting at 6:30 pm.
RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS
If you know of someone that would like to try curling, invite them to our free curling school /demonstration on the evenings of October 11th, 12th and 13th! We have beautiful facilities, excellent Jet-Ice, a welcoming membership and with each new adult curler registered on your recommendation, you can save 10% on your membership dues.
Keeping our membership numbers up allows us to keep our rates reasonable.
MONDAY COMMERCIAL LEAGUE
Perhaps your employer or organization wishes to pull together a rotating team for our Commercial League on Monday nights. The curlers can change from week to week, but the company /organization keeps its regular spot to play against competing teams.
DROP-IN CURLING – FRIDAY EVENINGS
We will have a series of Friday evenings (Oct. 28; Dec. 9; and Jan.6) to invite your friends/family members to join you on the ice. What a great way to introduce new players to the game or to give those with busy schedules a chance to get in a game among friends. Drop-in fee will apply.
JUNIOR INSTRUCTION
For the 2016-2017 season junior instruction will take place on Sunday 3:30 – 5:30 and Tuesday 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
