Reminder: no ice time today (Sunday) until Doubles league, due to Ice Maintenance

An Open Letter to our Members and User Groups:

Ice Maintenance

This season our Club did our annual mid-season ice maintenance a couple of weeks earlier than in years past, to accommodate the CPHO/PEI Government-mandated COVID-19 “Circuit Breaker” in December, and allow us to schedule some draws missed from this during the holiday period when we normally do this maintenance.

Since our Club’s post-maintenance ice is now required for longer than usual, in order to ensure continued ice quality and surface integrity we have scheduled an additional flood/ice maintenance, from Saturday, February 13th after our U13 Funspiel to Sunday, February 14th at approximately 5 pm.

Because of this maintenance all user groups and practices for Saturday, February 13th beginning at 5 pm until Sunday, February 14th at the same time been cancelled or re-scheduled. These groups have all been notified. Curling will resume with the Sunday evening draw.

One Week Season Extension

Further to the above-scheduled change, we are very pleased to announce that we will be extending our season by one week i.e. our club will remain open until Sunday, April 11th, 2021.

In general, we will continue with the regular club schedule, including Morning and Afternoon Drop-Ins, Junior Practice, Evening Curling, etc.

The Cornwall Curling Club’s Board of Directors, Return to Play Committee, Club Manager, Ice Technician, and staff appreciate your cooperation and enthusiasm as we move through a very busy season during these very unusual times.

If you have any questions, please contact our Club Manager, Lori at 902-566-4427 or cornwallcurling@eastlink.ca
