We are happy to report that the ceiling in the Curling Club has now been lowered, and soundproofing has been added. We were there this evening, and barely noticed the Zumba class upstairs (would not have been the case previously!). It also appeared to us that the sound in the room is better – the lower acoustic tiles seem to be absorbing some of the sound reflections. As well, the ceiling lights are now switchable in two banks, so we can have every second lighting unit on if we don’t want full brightness.

Also, the swimming pool adjacent to the Club is currently in the process of being lengthened. To accommodate this, our fire exit door in the back of the ice house is being moved from the sheet 4 side to the sheet 1 side.
