Cleaning your boots and shoes before entering the clubhouse (and cleaning your curling shoes at the ice-entrance cleaner before going onto the ice surface) will improve your game, as tracked-in salt can melt areas of the ice, and hitting a tiny piece of dirt can greatly affect the course of a rock, so be sure to use the boot cleaners!
