Club seeking prospective Board of Directors members in advance of September AGM

As everyone is aware, all curling facilities on PEI shut down early this past season due to COVID-19 concerns. Don’t worry, though, the Cornwall Curling Club is working on a safe return to our favourite sport this fall, and curling already has the “go ahead” as a low-contact sport by the Chief Provincial Health Officer.

It has been decided to delay our Annual General Meeting (AGM) until sometime in September, so we can bring you up to date on our startup plans. One of the agenda items at each AGM is the nomination of new members for our Board of Directors (three-year term), and our Nominating Committee Chair Gary O’Sullivan is currently looking for prospective candidates for our volunteer Board. We are fortunate to have highly-qualified and engaged members, and would appreciate it if you could donate some of your time, passion, and skills to help us during these unique times, so we can continue to thrive as a friendly and fantastic curling club!

If you would like to put your name forward for the Board or would like more information, please get in touch with Gary at bantamgary@gmail.com

Thank you in advance for your service to our Club!
