Two teams from our Cornwall Curling Club Tuesday evening competitive league squared off this morning at the annual Island Petroleum Cashspiel, open to Men’s, Women’s, Junior and Mixed teams, taking place at the Silver Fox Entertainment Complex in Summerside, with 16 teams taking part. The rink of Steve van Ouwerkerk, Sam Ramsay, Nick van Ouwerkerk, and Pat Ramsay beat the Mitchell Schut junior team, which also includes Chase MacMillan, Cruz Pineau, and Liam Kelly. van Ouwerkerk is now at 2-0, while Schut is 1-1. Both teams play again at 4 pm.
The finals are Sunday at 10:00 am.
