Cornwall’s Special Olympians are Gold Medallists!

It took a measure, but Team PEI came out with the gold medal in their division of the Special Olympics Winter Games curling competition in St. Albert Alberta, with a 6-5 win over Nova Scotia.

The gold medal rink is skipped by Greg St. John, and includes Phillip Chugg, John Anthony Laybolt, Monique Gauthier, and Chris MacPherson. They went through round robin play with a perfect 3-0 record. Team coaches are Dick St. John and Ann Doucette.

    It was a pleasure to play with and against you guys when I was part of the Sunday league. You guys play well as a team and it showed at this tournament.
