The ice plant has been started, and our head icemaker Lance Lowther is busy, as you can see in the picture, putting on the base coats. You will also note that the rafters have changed colour, and are now painted a nice white, and the the cement part of the walls at the back has also been repainted. New carpet for the ice house area is being installed next Tuesday and Wednesday.  The sponsor signs will have to be put back up, but we’re on schedule for ice availability on Oct. 11.  After the base coats are on, the ice is painted white, and then lines and circles are added, and top coats are applied, before the pebble is put on and you can hit the ice!
