Icemaking underway for 2010-2011 Season

The Club ice plant, complete with a brand new condenser unit, is running, and base coats are being applied by head icemaker Lance Lowther (pictured) and his crew, in preparation for ice availability in time for our free curling instruction, which begins on Oct. 12.

Also coming this year is Jet Ice, courtesy of The Dominion Curling Club Championship, which our club is co-hosting with Charlottetown, along with additional end-zone viewing cameras at the near end.  Jet Ice is a water treatment system designed to ensure consistent ice from end-to-end.

Also look for new blue and gray colours for the rings at both our club and the Charlottetown club. These are the corporate colours of The Dominion General Insurance Company.

We’ll see you on the ice!
