Our annual Mixed Doubles tournament was held this weekend, with a full draw of 16 teams.

Our overall champions were the Junior team of Lauren Lenentine and Alex MacFadyen.

The pool-by-pool results are as follows:

Pool A – winners –  Barry and Myrna Craswell – 35 points

Pool B – winners – Lauren Lenentine and Alex MacFadyen – 39 points

Pool C – winners – Brent Irving and Myrna Sanderson – 34.5 points

Pool D – winners – Boyd Anderson and Jeanette Fraser – 32 points.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people – first and foremost the curlers who turned out to curl in this very fun event.  Without you there would be no spiels.

Lisa MacEachern and Angela Sanderson for providing desserts for the noon meal and early coffee break.

Dean MacEachern for his donation of oysters for our door prize

Carlene Peters for always being there to help in her many wonderful ways even though I was constantly changing her team on her.

Bev for letting me use her office space and helping out in many other ways

Bryan Sutherland for helping out all day making sure nothing got burned in the kitchen and last of all and not least Al – for the bar.
