Players and coaches only at U16 Developmental League this Saturday

Due to the requirement that we have no more than 50 people in attendance, we currently have no choice but to limit this Saturday’s Under 16 Developmental League to players and coaches only. Besides the attendance cap of 50, we have limited viewing areas along the windows under the six-foot physical distancing requirements.  A curling club is unlike a hockey arena or an outdoor soccer pitch, where there is only one game, not four, going on, with a large field of play and room for seating all around it.

Does anybody recognize this former PEI U16 champ from February 2016? Hint: she’s now a World Junior Champ and just earned a berth in the Manitoba Scotties!

We are investigating ideas to allow limited numbers of spectators, but our options are limited under the current requirements, and we can’t have any ready for week one.

We will be doing an Orientation for the curlers, and will be providing a handout to bring home.
We remind curlers to arrive dressed for play (except for curling shoes), as we do not have any locker/change rooms due to physical distancing and sanitation requirements.
