Round one of the Wednesday evening Ladder League came to an exciting conclusion this week.
Team Arsenault
Going into the final “B” Pool night, the Joe Callaghan team were in the lead with 5 wins, while their opponents, the Laura Arsenault rink, as well as the Josh McInnis-skipped “Legion of Broom” squad, had four. Arsenault beat Callaghan, giving them both 5 wins, while McInnis lost to the Joostema (Team HGWZ) rink. This means that the Arsenault rink win the round, and the gift certificates from sponsor Peake & McInnis, as they beat the other 5-win team.
Team Tyler MacKenzie
Up the ladder in the “A” pool, the Tyler MacKenzie and Mark MacDonald teams both had 5 wins, but MacKenzie won their round-robin game against MacDonald, giving them the prize from sponsor JR’s Pizza.
Moving down the ladder from “A” to “B” for round two will be the Greg Groves and Hank Kamphuis teams with two wins, plus the Rob Gallant foursome, who were tied with the Paul Neima team with three wins, but lost to Neima in their round robin match.
Climbing the ladder from “B” to “A” will be the Arsenault and Callaghan teams with five wins, plus the Josh McInnis team with four (Amber Robb also had 4 wins but lost to McInnis in their game).
