Wed. Ladder League Round Two set to go

Round one of the Wednesday Night Ladder League wrapped up on Dec. 23, with the Bob MacWilliams and John DeLuca rinks each having only one loss in the A pool. MacWilliams won their very close December 9th encounter, and gets the honours as the round one winner. Third place was between the Bob Fowler and Veronica Smith rinks, with two losses each. The Smith team beat out the Fowler foursome by a 6-4 score in their round robin encounter, and finished third.
Three teams from the A pool will make their way down the ladder to the B pool for the next round. The Ray Biagé rink, with two wins, the Karen Montgomery team, with one victory, and the Colleen Solterman team, without a win, are those teams.
In the B pool, the Angus Kennedy team had only one loss, and finished in first place. Three teams, skipped by Paul Neima, Rupert Sweetapple, and Jeff Taylor, had two losses. When points were compared, Sweetapple and Taylor will joining Kennedy in the move up the ladder to the A pool, while Neima will remain behind.
