Wednesday evening Pod curling starts today (Feb. 9).

Wednesday Evening curling starts back this evening, Wednesday, February 9th, with a two-week “mini round” where the teams in each of our two eight-team pools (as selected at the end of Round One) have been divided into two four-team “Pods” (Pod One will have the odd-numbered teams, while Pod Two will have the even-numbered teams). Each Pod will play two games/weeks per team in the round. Based on a Chief Public Health Office announcement on February 8th, it looks like “regular” play can resume by our February 23rd date, so we (unless things change) won’t play the originally-planned 3rd “Pod” week, and will run our final “official” 7-week round from Feb. 23 through  April 6, with one week left over on April 13 (assuming the season is extended to Easter weekend) for a storm date or other purposes.

Pod Round

We will record results with the same scoresheet style we have been using, but teams will NOT move up or down the ladder following the Pod round. Unless things change from the CPHO, the regular ladder league round will follow the Pod round.
