3rd Annual Food Bank Drive …

It is ‘Giving Tuesday’ and we thought it would be a perfect time to remind our members that once again our club is organizing a Food Drive for the community food bank….

We ask our members that, if you can, you bring in a donation for our food bank drive. Donations of non-perishable food items can be placed in the container or in the bags underneath in the ‘daytime table’ or in container under the Christmas tree.

These are difficult times for many who are struggling in paying bills and provide nutrition and food for their families, and this has created an extra demands on food banks.

Our Club Members Eugene Murphy, who is a part of the Daytime Committee leading this initiative (along with being a volunteer with the food bank) has kindly provided us a list with the most needed items.
From Eugene:
“Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Mustard, Large Juice(apple and orange), Small Juice, Coffee, Jams, Muffin Mixes, Canned Fruit and Snacks for School Lunches. Monetary donations are also accepted….”
Eugene noted:
“This is a shifting situation from week to week so it does not mean other items are not appreciated.”

Our Club and our Daytime Committee , along with the Committee Chairs (Eugene Murphy, Myrna Sanderson , and Elaine Hughes) extend our deepest thanks to you for your support.

Here in our photos, our Club Member Helen drops off a generous donation, including a special and festive, treat for families! Eugene, with help from Club Member Joe , recently picked up some items our club members have so generously donated to date!
