Condolences to the family of Paul Gallant

The club and its members would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of Paul Gallant who passed away recently.  Paul is the brother of club member Darren Gallant.

Obituary:

It is with such profound sadness, grief and shock that we announce the passing of a dear son, brother and friend to many. Paul Joseph Gallant passed away at his late residence in North Rustico at the age of 60. Paul was the son of Mildred and the late Dennis Gallant.

He was the loving brother of Irwin (Karen), Danny (Grace), Ian (Barb), Wendy (Tim) and Darren (Gail); uncle to Joel, Brett, Genna, Taylor, Daphne, Lacey and Greta; great- uncle to Cadence, Emmy, Avery and Georgia; and friend to all.

Paul loved watching sports, from golf to baseball, to his beloved Edmonton Oilers .

Paul was a fixture in the community. He started working at the old Co-op store almost 40 years ago. Then moved across the street to the new store.

He always had a grin and a chat to greet everyone. Paul was one of those people who seemed to know everyone, and everyone knew him. He was a familiar face, a constant in a world where so many things change. He was a nice man, plain and simple. The kind who always said hello when he saw you. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated, just a genuinely good person who took a moment to acknowledge the people around him.

That’s the thing about small towns. When someone leaves us, they don’t just leave an empty space at their family’s table, they leave an empty space in the community itself.

Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.

If so desired, memorial donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The North Rustico Food Bank would be appreciated. Let’s all honour Paul’s memory by remembering something he did so naturally, **Be kind, take a moment, say hello.**
