The bonspiel is open to Men’s, Women’s and mixed teams. There will only be one division and one curler can be between 55-60 with the remaining players being Master’s age (60+). All teams are asked to provide the names and ages of their players to ensure that the bonspiel criteria have been met.

All teams must pay a fee of $160.00 by November 1, 2013. Cheques should be made payable to the Edgar Coffin.  Each team is guaranteed four games. Games will be scheduled for 8:30, 11:00, 1:30 and 4:00. There will be a 10 minute practice for each team before the first two draws each day. Times, sheets and results will be posted on the scoreboard as soon as they are determined.

Scoring

Coin toss will be used for hammer and all games will be 8 ends. One point is awarded for each end scored. Six points for each win (three for each team in the event of a tie). A maximum of three points to the game winner for score differential.

Tie Breakers

Immediately after each team’s first game, each player will throw one rock with sweeping and points will be accumulated. Draw to 12 foot is one point, draw to 8 foot is 2 points, and draw to 4 foot is 3 points. Biting the button is 4 points and covering the pin is 5 points. Score sheets for all games and tie breakers will be behind each sheet and these should be completed and turned in to the bonspiel desk.

Bonspiel Prizes

Teams finishing in the top four places will receive prizes.

Food Arrangements

We will provide soup and sandwich for lunch on Thursday. Four meal tickets plus four beer tickets will be included with your registration package. Lunch will be available for purchase on Friday.
