The NS Junior Men’s championship has come down to one deciding game at 8:30 this morning between the Matthew Manual squad from Halifax and the Graham Weagle foursome from Chester. Weagle won two of the three modified triple knockout sections, and could have wrapped up the series with the first championship game last night, but lost 8-4, to force this morning’s sudden-death final.
In New Brunswick, PEI’s Alex Gallant plays lead on the winning Junior Men’s team, skipped by Jack Smeltzer out of Fredericton’s Capital Winter Club, who beat Team Liam Marin from Saint John 9-6 in the final. Smeltzer had won two of the modified triple knockout sections, and wrapped things up Sunday afternoon by winning the first game.

It took an extra end, but Team Justine Comeau of Fredericton are headed to their 4th Canadian Junior Championships with a Sunday morning win over Team Erica Cluff of Woodstock. Comeau won all three modified triple knockout sections, so a championship round was not needed.
