Cornwall’s Team Cochrane splits Monday games at Kingston Brier to improve to 2-2 (Curling Canada)

In the Monday afternoon draw at the Tim Hortons Brier in Kingston, Bryan Cochrane of Prince Edward Island (Cornwall, 2-2) scored two in nine and stole a pair in 10 to beat Alek Bédard of Quebec (Lacolle/Boucherville/Glenmore, 1-3) 7-4.

In the morning draw, Nova Scotia’s Jamie Murphy, third Paul Flemming, second Scott Saccary, lead Phil Crowell, alternate Kevin Ouellette and coach Bruce Lohnes (Halifax, 2-1) gave up a steal in the opening end before running off three straight deuces, rolling to an 11-2 win over Team PEI.

Team PEI plays Team Manitoba with Islander Adam Casey at 10 am Tuesday.
