The annual Oak Island Junior Women’s and Men’s Cashspiel got underway this morning at the Chester Curling Club in Nova Scotia, not far from the island where Captain Kidd’s treasure is rumoured to be buried. There’s only one PEI team entered  – the Lauren Lenentine foursome from Cornwall. On the men’s side, Montague’s Brooks Roche is playing third on the Ryan Abraham team out of Halifax. 

Lenentine’s first game is at 2:30 this afternooon.
