Reminder of registration options available, and notes on Online Registration and Daytime Team League

We recently told you about our new online registration system, available now at CornwallCurling.com/registration. As well, we have our traditional registration nights where you can register in person, with Board Members and Staff available to answer any questions you may have. We also take cash and cheques in addition to credit/debit on those nights and can set up adult membership payments so you can pay in two installments, with the first due immediately, and the second due by December 1st.

Online

All curlers, including “Daytime Only”, are encouraged to register online to speed things up for those who choose to register in person on registration nights. Over the last couple of years we have experienced lineups for credit and debit payment at in-person registration, as more and more curlers switch their payment methods away from cash and cheque in favour of debit and credit cards, and we only have one card processing machine (pro tip: paying by cheque is the fastest method at in-person registration).

Notes/Updates

We have had a few online registrations where the curler selected their membership type, but didn’t sign up for the appropriate league. For most memberships it’s a two-step process. Under the Products section you choose the type of membership e.g. One Evening Draw per Week or  Adult Unlimited Day/Night and then proceed to the Leagues section to choose the league or leagues you want to join.

A note on the Wednesday Daytime Team League: This league will be starting after October 31st to give curlers who come to the morning drop-in sessions time to verify their team from last year or make a new one. The Daytime Team League will continue to use the old registration style of a sign up sheet on the wall.

In-Person

In-person registration for returning adult members (including those returning to the Junior Plus) takes place on October 10th at the Club from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.

Priority for adult team-entry curling will be given to teams with at least 3 returning members.

Due to last year’s congestion, we have scheduled in-house Junior Curler Registration (or new entries into the Junior Plus) on the evenings of the 15th and 16th of October at the same times.

New members/teams will be able to fill any unclaimed spots after October 10 (we can take online entries now and confirm them later). In-house new member registration will take place at the Club at the same time as our free, no obligation, adult curling school / curling demonstrations which will be held on October 15th, 16th, and 17th starting at 6:30 pm. Board Members will be available after each night’s curling school to answer any questions those attending the school may have.
