The Curl PEI Provincial Junior Mixed Curling Championship, with Under 16 and Under 21 divisions, will be held at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary, on March 5-6, 2016. Four Under 16 and two Under 21 teams have signed up. Five of the six teams entered have Cornwall members. Cornwall’s Alexis Burris and Mitchell Schut rinks have combined to make up two teams in the U16 section, which also includes Cornwall’s Chase MacMillan rink, and the Connor Lilly team from Summerside, which includes Cornwall member Jordan Dunphy-Condon. The U18 section includes Cornwall’s Devin Schut team, with one Crapaud and three Cornwall members.

The Under 16 division will play a Round Robin, with all four teams advancing to semi-finals (1st place vs 4th place and 2nd place vs 3rd place), and the winners of the semis going to the final. The Under 21 will place a Best of Five series, with the first team to take three games winning the event. Games are 8 ends. Teams in the U16 division will be ranked as follows after the Round Robin:

1. By wins and losses of a team;
2. If teams are tied, the head to head results of tied teams will be used;
3. If teams are still tied, the cumulative last stone draw measurements (minus the highest draw) will break the tie.
