Junior Practice Members are invited to sign up by Monday, April 11 at 5 pm for the Junior Division Red and Blue Year End celebrations event on Saturday, April 16, starting at 10 am!
Last year our annual Red and Blue Year-End bonspiel became a Club-wide event with various divisions. Teams are divided into Red and Blue colours and we accumulate all points to crown a winner, either Red or Blue.
Stick Curling sign-up is underway already, and interested stick curlers should see John Dunsford. Signup for other adult members will begin April 1st.
This post is specifically for the Junior Practice members’ sign-up. Little Rockers and Novice will not need to sign up — their games will be part of their regularly scheduled session on April 10th.
-There will be TWO Draws: 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
-Single Entry event: All curlers will be mixed with other Junior Practice Curlers, plus a mentor, to make teams!
(This event will act as social for our Junior Curlers to have an opportunity to get to know each other and promote a friendly club culture…but also an opportunity for our “older” and more experienced Junior curlers to mentor and give back to our younger curlers!…)
Each team will be assigned a colour: Red or Blue. There will be a points race based on various competition criteria! The points will then be submitted to the club to be added to the other division so the club can determine an overall RED or BLUE winning team!!
- The event includes: two 6-end games (one morning game, a pizza lunch, and one afternoon game)!
- There will be tons of fun and maybe a few giveaways!
The deadline to SIGN UP is Monday, April 11th at 5 pm, but we kindly request that curlers sign up as soon as possible to help us in planning and organizing the event!
