CIVIC CENTER RENOVATION PROJECT

Dear Sir:

We thank you for the very informative meeting of last Thursday, November 10th, 2009, in which you addressed many of our concerns.  We are pleased with your reassurance that the project, albeit delayed, was still in the planning.  Whilst a delay is not our first choice, we do appreciate the need for a thorough planning process and we look forward to participating in it in the near future.  There is a sense that our membership is okay with a slight delay but, as requested at the meeting, a written confirmation of the project timing will be appreciated.  Also, as mentioned to you at the meeting, the Curling Club has no confidence in the “Ice Plant” and is particularly anxious that it be renewed prior to next season.

As indicated to you at this meeting, a petition was circulating at the time and it was decided to attach it herewith for your attention. Approximately 150 persons have signed this petition representing Club members and citizens of the Town of Cornwall. They will remain forceful in wanting to maintain this project on track. Thank you for your consideration.

Yours truly,
