On Friday we got to acknowledge the dedication and hard work the ‘Return to Play‘ committee has done over the past couple of years to get our members back on the ice. Following CPHO and the Town of Cornwall guidelines, we all returned to the sport we love and were able to socialize safely with our curling friends”
The Return to Play committee was nominated and approved by the Covid Coin Award Advisory committee. After the Daytime Division of the Red and Blue bonspiel, curlers had lunch and were asked to stay for a very special guest that was coming.
Her Honour, the Honourable Antoinette Perry, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island presented each of the volunteers on the committee with a certificate in recognition of their outstanding acts of service during the Covid- 19 pandemic, as well as a “Covid Warrior” coin.
Her Honour and Chief Aide de Camp Cdr/Capf Rob Alain were very thankful for letting them spend time with club members.
Members of the committee are Jennifer Lenentine, Paul Durant, Amanda MacIntosh, Peter Murdoch, Bryan Sutherland, Brent Irving, Chris MacDougall, and our Club Manager.
