1984 was a very busy year at the Cornwall Curling Club, as we hosted the “Scott” provincial women’s championship and the Maritime Firefighters.

We also had to do a considerable amount of fundraising back then to get the club on a firm financial footing, and fundraising that season included a fall fashion show, a “roast”, and compiling and selling a club cookbook.

We found an album from the October fashion show, The photos are a little yellowed, but it’s great to know that our members didn’t just wear Lopi sweaters all the time!
