“Lift Each Other Up”
That is the important theme of ‘Pink Shirt Day’ in Canada today….Here at the Cornwall Curling Club we are tremendously proud of the community of support and friendship we share with each other! We truly believe that we stand as a special example of how community recreation can develop and foster relationships that “Lift Each Other Up!”
Being against bullying not only means that you say no to those who would bully, or exclude others, or speak in ways that would hurt another (ie rumours), but that we also make efforts to lift each other up whenever we can. A kind word, a message of support, or a smile or a high five are all ways we can encourage each other.
With that in mind, Cornwall Curling Club member and all-around awesome human being Elliot Doiron wore his anti-bullying pink shirt today in recognition of this important message… Elliot curls during our Wednesday Daytime Competitive League, and is of a member of one of the Lions Club’s here in PEI~ of whom do important community work and are sharing this important message today…!
